This year, the programming challenge will be separate from the registration through stemwizard. Sponsors must register students who wish to participate outside of the stemwizard portal. The link to the registration form in the important links can be found under the useful links to the right. The registration cost for students to participate is $10.00 per student as well. The last day to register is January 14th. The process for the competition will be same as previous years. You can find detailed information about the competition on at https://www.gastc.org/
Thank you for joining the annual technology competition. This year, the competition will be virtual again. This means that you will be creating a video showing off your project to submit for the competition through this website. This website will provide the information you will need to participate in the Technology Competition. You will have access to registration form, submit your project resources by signing in, and find helpful links. We are excited you decided to participate in the Georgia Independent and Homeschool Regional Technology Competition! This year, there will be a registration fee for each student competing in the Regional Competition. The cost is $10.00 per student. Students participating in Regionals will receive a t-shirt. Each school will need to send a payment for all the students participating from their school. Payment must be made by January 24, 2022. A link to the payment portal can be found in the helpful links on the right side of this page. The project submission process for schools is a 2 step process. The first step is for the sponsor to register in the stemwizard portal. The registration window will be opened on January 21, 2022. This step must be completed before students can complete their registration process. If your school is not listed in the available schools, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. In the stemwizard portal, sponsors will have access to any student that has registered for your school and can see the progress of their submission. If your student is unable to register themselves, you can create student accounts in your teacher portal. It is the responsibility of each school or homeschool group to ensure that their students are registered and have provided all needed resources for their project by the deadlines listed. Registration will be disabled and late submissions will not be accepted after the deadline. Please remember that only one student or a team of two students in your school may be registered per grade group per category. For example, if a student from your school has registered for the 5th-6th grade robotics category, no other student from your school in the 5th-6th grade is allowed to compete in that same category. If multiple students have registered in the same category, we will be contacting you to determine which student will be competing. Thanks for your participation. If you are involved with a Georgia independent school or homeschool group that has not previously participated but is interested, contact email@example.com to be added to the list of schools. We are excited to see all the creativity and skill that the students will bring to the competition.
